    I whole-heartedly agree with the concept but having worked in HR as long as I have, I can say that the practice of rewarding those who have earned it isn’t always the case. Politics and discrimination are alive and well. I also know rewarding mediocrity shows itself in the long run.

    I totally agree. What I don’t understand is if they think their not getting paid enough why don’t they just quit and find another job or why did they take the job in the first place if they wanted more money?
