Great article for this week of “Giving Thanks”. I’ve learned that gratitude is not about having what you want, but rather, wanting what you have.

    Mr. Shepard,

I have also realized that employees that are grateful and appreciative also have a very positive approach towards life. In hardships they show endurance and patience and always look for the silver lining in the cloud. Those that are ungrateful at work are also ungrateful in their personal lives and blame others for their misfortunes and never themselves or their choices they have made in their lives.

Every Thanksgiving before we start the meal each one of us has to say what we are thankful for this year.
It’s just a moment in time when we pause and reflect – a lovely moment.
Happy Thanksgiving Glenn – I am thankful for you!

Glen, great comments and observations, as usual. How does one, in a small office, do something like this anonymously? We would like to do this.

Any thoughts from you , or the ‘Glen Clan’ would be appreciated. 🙂

I LOVE this message, especially the idea of the survey questions. I plan to use this on my employees today, and carry on the tradition every year! I am always looking for new ideas of ways to encourage our staff. Thank you for sharing this!
